What is working in high-level sport and producing performance together? What are the consequences in matter of education for the high level professionals in sport? This high-level sport has entered an increased stage of work division between many actors involved in high performance project and the procedures for decision and action are increasingly shared. This article suggests new thinking frameworks for a better understanding of the activity and the education of the high-level professionals in sport. « Understanding to do and doing to understand » appears to be the challenge which the research and education in high-level sport have to take up together.
