Representing vulnerability to schizophrenia - A knowledge engineering issue

This article addresses the question of representation by means of an ontology of vulnerability to schizophrenia. We invoke the philosophical notion of disposition, showing both its relevance to understanding the neurodevelopmental approach to schizophrenia and the ontological modeling efforts to which it gives rise. In so doing, we clarify the use that can be made of this notion in philosophy, and show the interest and limits of its use in ontologies.
