Nowadays Geneva perspective is hardly ever considered by psychologists in order to explain the emergence of quantification abilities during childhood. The goal of this paper is to summarize this constructivist perspective and to evaluate its relevancy with post-piagetian empirical data. Up to date the available results do not allow a systematic rejection of the Swiss researchers’ point of view.
